Bridget Kagan Jennison is a senior-level communications strategist with more than 15 years of experience in marketing and communications. Her work spans the cultural, financial, healthcare, nonprofit, technology, and education sectors.
Jennison began her career working on marketing programs for the downtown business and tourism district in Highland Park, Illinois. She then joined Chicago-based PR firm, Public Communications Inc. (PCI), where she spent seven years leading integrated communications campaigns for clients including the AstraZeneca HealthCare Foundation, Athletico Physical Therapy, Shedd Aquarium, Walgreens, and Chicago’s Newberry Library.
After transitioning from agency work to in-house roles, Jennison spent two years as head of marketing at a private high school in Rockford, Illinois.
She then assumed the role of director of marketing at Rockford University where she helped strengthen the institution’s brand, support the school’s enrollment and advancement efforts, and oversaw the university’s year-long 175th anniversary celebration.
In 2022, Jennison launched an independent strategic communications practice to help clients achieve their goals through impactful messaging that resonates authentically with their audiences.
Jennison graduated from Marquette University with a degree in journalism. She lives in Northern Illinois with her husband, two sons, one anxious Scottish Terrier, and one hyperactive Goldendoodle.

The name "Abridged" embodies both the philosophy and purpose of our work. A bridge connects — spanning gaps, providing direction, and creating pathways to meaningful destinations. It’s a symbol of how we bring clients closer to their audiences, creating messages that resonate and inspire action. At the same time, "abridged" represents the art of refinement — distilling ideas down to their essence, cutting through the noise, and honing in on the messages that matter most. It’s about clarity, precision, and making every word count. Together, these ideas embody our mission: to connect, simplify, and empower through strategic communication.
